Panel Discussion with Peter Singer - Effective Altruism: Rethinking How We Do Good 有效利他主義—反思該如何行善

Effective altruism is a philosophy and social movement that applies evidence and reason to determine the most effective ways to improve the world and encourages people to make it one of their life goals to do as much good as they can. The discussion will begin with Peter Singer introducing the key values and concepts behind effective altruism, and then discusses the three most important areas with which effective altruists are concerned: seeking to reduce extreme poverty and assist those living in extreme poverty; reducing the suffering of nonhuman animals, especially in factory farms; and reducing the risk of human extinction.
